Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film model, actress and filmmaker. Known for her elegant beauty her endurance in the intense film industry is a reflection of her talent and skills as a performer. Her career began as a fashion model in the year 1970 her rise quickly to fame. Beginning in the 1980s she began taking acting classes, and was a theater student before appearing on stages in Los Angeles. Russo debuted on screen in ABCs Sable drama series in 1987, playing Eden Kendell. Two years later, she portrayed Tom Berengers lover in Major League. She was initially doubtful about her ability as an actor however, the critics were confident after her steady performances. The performance she gave in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak was particularly appreciated by critics, as she stood up to Dustin Hoffman or Morgan Freeman. She admits that she is not a fan of acting. She went on a self-imposed hiatus. Then, she made her return with Thor. The Oscar-winning film of her husband Nightcrawler was also one of her performances. The Intern and Just Getting Started are two fun films where she was a part of the cast.
Rose Namajunas was one of UFC's top female athletes. She started out as an amateur fighter that competed in regional events prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she joined UFC Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her success in and out in the Octagon has helped make her famous since she joined the UFC. Namajunas was a Lithuanian who immigrated to the United States. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 29, 1992. Growing up, Rose was involved in athletics like basketball as well as kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, she had her first professional fight at Invicta Fighting Championships in which she won two fights by submission. Dana White noticed this and in December 2014, at age 22, she signed her to fight as a strawweight with UFC. Rose has been through extremes and lows throughout her career. She has always come out the winner. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by a technical knockout within just under 3 minutes the Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was recognized as Fighter Of The Night. Rose also made MMA history with this match because she became the first female to fight in a title fight within an organization that is a major one. Namajunas then went on to win a few other fights. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, winning the Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
